Rangers and Celtic have both fancied signing Antoine Semenyo but Bournemouth are ready to offer him huge money to move to the South Coast.
Bristol City striker Semenyo has become a popular name when it comes to transfer rumours up in Scotland.
Bristol Live claimed in December that Celtic and Rangers have both scouted Semenyo ‘extensively’ ahead of a possible bid.
Sports World Ghana even reported in November that Rangers were planning a £5million bid for Semenyo, but that hasn’t materialised so far this month.
Rangers do need another attacker though given that Alfredo Morelos looks set to leave at the end of the season.
Add in that Celtic want a striker to potentially replace Giorgos Giakoumakis and the interest in Semenyo does make some sense.
Yet if Celtic or Rangers do want to sign Semenyo this month, they will need to be very, very quick.

Bournemouth planning big offer for Celtic and Rangers target Antoine Semenyo
That’s because The Sun report that Bournemouth are now making their move to sign Semenyo from Bristol City.
It’s stated that Bournemouth are willing to pay him around £50,000-a-week to tempt him into making the move to the South Coast.
The report adds that Bournemouth could pay £15million for Semenyo, which seems expensive given that Semenyo is out of contact this summer – albeit with the Cherries having a one-year option on that deal.
Bournemouth clearly believe that Semenyo can help keep them in the Premier League and are making a big offer.
Celtic and Rangers absolutely won’t be going anywhere near those numbers, with £50,000-a-week and a £15million transfer fee just so far beyond them.
Semenyo has bags of talent but this season hasn’t actually been all that great for him.
Five goals in 22 Championship games isn’t terrible but many expected more after he showed so much promise last season.
The 23-year-old would be a real gamble at £15million and frankly, Celtic and Rangers may be better off looking elsewhere for striking talent.
