Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has admitted he is “so pleased” for fans to finally get back to a full Ibrox next week as he confessed he’s been “craving” the noise of a packed Ibrox.
Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Malmo will mark the first time Ibrox has been full since Rangers lost to Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League in March 2020 and Gerrard paid tribute to the support’s patience as they’ve waited for restrictions to be eased.

The Light Blues have a trip to Tannadice tomorrow to deal with first but Gerrard is excited to finally have Rangers fans back at full capacity after calling on them to roar his side through against the Swedes on Tuesday.
“Everyone connected with the club has been craving the full house,” Gerrard told Rangers TV. “To get it back in full noise we are really looking forward to Tuesday but for now all our focus is on a real tough battle tomorrow.
“I am so pleased for the fans as they have been so patient.”
While fans have gradually been allowed to return over the summer, last weekend’s win over Livingston saw around 23000 allowed in.
With more than double that number heading to Ibrox on Tuesday, the Rangers players who joined the club post-Covid will get their first real experience of what Ibrox is all about.
