Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara looks set to extend his stay at Ibrox after the Finnish international reportedly agreed terms on a new contract with the Light Blues.

According to The Athletic, Kamara will put pen to paper in the coming days as he brings an end to the lengthy negotiations and gives Rangers fans a massive boost by committing his long-term future to the Scottish champions.
Kamara has been linked with a host of clubs during his time at Ibrox, including Juventus, Arsenal, Everton and Spartak Moscow and news he is set to stay at Rangers should put speculation over his future to bed.
Since joining Rangers for £50,000, Kamara has become one of Gerrard’s most-trusted players and has shone for the Gers both domestically and in Europe.
Kamara’s reputation was further boosted over the summer with a string of impressive performances for Finland at Euro 2020.
Talks over a new deal have been going on for a considerable length of time but getting Kamara tied to a long-term contract is excellent news for Rangers.
The midfielder’s existing deal runs until 2023 but adding another year or two onto that should protect Rangers a bit more while giving Kamara some security over his future.

While a new contract won’t kill interest in Kamara completely, it does signal his desire to stick around at Rangers and help the Light Blues build on last season’s Scottish Premiership triumph.
