Charlie Nicholas has praised Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on the ‘Where’s Jeff?’ Podcast.
The former Arsenal forward believes that Ramsdale is showing authority at the back for the Gunners.
The former Sky Sports pundit has been impressed by the performances of the 23-year-old English goalkeeper.
Nicholas said on the ‘Where’s Jeff?’ Podcast: “I was really pleased with the battling qualities of Arsenal.
“And I was particularly impressed with the goalkeeper. He seems to be an authority at the back and he has been questioned already in his early career at Arsenal.”

Aaron Ramsdale now Arsenal no. 1?
Ramdale has started Arsenal’s last two Premier League games, and the Gunners have won both.
In fact, Mikel Arteta’s side have kept clean sheets in both the matches.
Ramsdale did not concede a goal against West Bromwich Albion in the Carabao Cup last month.

Now, you could point out that Bernd Leno started against AFC Wimbledon in midweek and kept a clean sheet.
The Gunners won 3-0.
However, Leno starting in a cup tie suggests that Ramsdale will stay in goal against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby this weekend.
Ramdale is making good saves and has looked very confident with his feet.
Arsenal manager Arteta wants to play out from the back, and for that, a goalkeeper of Ramdale’s quality is a must.
If Ramsdale starts against Spurs in the North London derby and does well, then it is hard to see Leno get a Premier League game in the near future.
