Tim Sherwood has described Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur as “average” on Premier League Productions.
Arsenal will take on Tottenham in the North London derby this weekend.
The match will be held at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Former Spurs manager Sherwood believes that Arsenal and Tottenham can challenge for the Europa League places at best in the Premier League table this season.
Sherwood has described both Arsenal and Tottenham as “average”.
The Englishman said on Premier League Productions: “What I can tell you is they are both two average sides, two average sides who at best this season what they can achieve is Europa League football.”
Is Tim Sherwood right?
Neither Arsenal nor Tottenham are having a great season.
While the Gunners have recovered after losing their opening three Premier League games, Spurs started the campaign strongly and are now struggling in the league.
Now, we can all agree that Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have the best squads in the Premier League.

It is really hard to see any other side finish in the top four this season.
Spurs and Arsenal are most likely to challenge for the Europa League places, as Sherwood says.
However, calling Arsenal and Spurs as “average” is a bit harsh.
The Gunners do have some good players, such as Kieran Tieney, Martin Odegaard and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Spurs have Harry Kane and Son Heung-min among others.
