Manchester United interim-manager Ralf Rangnick has told The Guardian that Marcus Rashford is free to leave, amid reported interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.
90min have reported that Arsenal and Newcastle are among the clubs who are interested in signing Rashford from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old England international forward is reportedly unhappy at his lack of regular playing time at Old Trafford and is considering leaving the Red Devils.
Rangnick has said that if Rashford wants to leave, then he can.
However, the Manchester United interim-manager has disclosed that in talks with the England international, the forward has said that he is happy at the club.

Rangnick said about Rashford: “I don’t think that he’s not had enough game time. He’s had 13-14 games since I’ve been here now, he played more games from the start than he didn’t play from the start.
“I don’t think this is an issue and he never said anything about that since we spoke yesterday [Thursday]. But the [transfer] window is closed now.
“Even suppose he and his agents or his family at one stage of the summer think about maybe going to another club, well then he can do that but in the summer.
“Now the window is closed. It’s got nothing to do with tomorrow’s game [v Tottenham] or the game on Tuesday [Atletico Madrid].
“I spoke with him yesterday and the day before so I don’t know anything about him being unhappy.
“He didn’t say anything to me, he said to me that he is still happy and that he wants to perform on a high level for the club. There was no mention of him not being happy here.”

Optimism for Arsenal and Newcastle regarding Rashford?
In our view, Rangnick’s comments about Rashford should encourage Arsenal and Newcastle.
The Manchester United interim-manager seems open to the idea of the forward leaving in the summer of 2022.
He is not going to force Rashford to stay.
So it could be up to Rashford in the end.
If Arsenal and Newcastle make good offers to Manchester United, then they could at least have the chance to sign Rashford.
