Speaking on the BBC Radio 5 Live Football Daily Podcast, Micah Richards has been waxing-lyrical about reported Arsenal target Alexander Isak.
Sweden weren’t brilliant against Spain on Monday, but one man who caught the eye was Isak, and Richards had plenty of good things to say about the striker.
What’s been said?
Amid reports Arsenal are have made contact about potentially bringing Isak to the Emirates, Richards has been full of praise for the Real Sociedad forward.
“I thought Sweden as a unit. The striker as well, he was absolutely brilliant. Isak, he only had a couple of touches of the ball, but when he went through and Berg missed that chance, the quick feet that he had, they could trouble a couple of teams Sweden on that counter-attack,” Richards said.

Get him in
For many Arsenal fans, Sweden’s game against Spain will have been the first time they’ve seen Isak, and it’s fair to say that he looks like a great player.
There was one moment of brilliance when Isak teed up his teammate Marcus Berg, who squandered a golden opportunity, and in that moment you could see just how good this man is.
Dare we say that his performance against Spain was Denis Bergkamp-esque? Of course, he’s not on that level quite yet, but his combination of precision and size did remind us of the non-flying Dutchman.
Fingers crossed Arsenal can get this one over the line.
