Vincent Janssen has raved about Cody Gakpo in The Athletic amid speculation that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur could make a bid for the PSV winger after the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Janssen, who was on the books of Tottenham from 2016 until 2019, has said that Gakpo, linked with a move to Spurs in the January transfer window, has so much quality and will have a number of clubs to choose from.
The 28-year-old Antwerp striker and the 23-year-old PSV winger play together for the Netherlands national football team.
The Dutch have reached the quarter-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Gakpo has scored three goals for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup.
GiveMeSport reported in November that Tottenham could make a bid for Gakpo in January.

Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Leeds United have also been linked with the Dutch star, who has scored nine goals and given 12 assists in 14 Eredivisie matches and has scored three goals and provided two assists in five UEFA Europa League games for PSV so far this season.
Vincent Janssen on Tottenham Hotspur target Cody Gakpo
Janssen said about Gakpo: “He has so much quality and he has a really nice choice to make. I don’t know when, but he can play everywhere, I think.”
Tottenham Hotspur are a massive club who are playing in the UEFA Champions League this season and could also end up in the Premier League top four yet again.
Gakpo could be tempted by a move to a Tottenham team who are going places and are hugely ambitious.
