Tyrell Malacia has raved about Cody Gakpo in The Athletic amid rumours that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United want to sign the Netherlands international winger from PSV in the January transfer window.
Malacia, who joined Manchester United from Feyenoord in the summer of 2022, believes that Gakpo is good enough to play for top clubs in Europe.
The 23-year-old left-back plays with Gakpo for the Netherlands national football team.
The Dutch have reached the quarter-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Gakpo has scored three goals for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup.
The winger has scored nine goals and given 12 assists in 14 Eredivisie matches, and has scored three goals and provided two assists in five UEFA Europa League games for PSV so far this season.

According to Voetbal International journalist Marco Timmer on Twitter, Liverpool and Manchester United plan to hold talks with the representatives of Gakpo after the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Arsenal, Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the winger.
And Malacia believes that his Dutch compatriot and fellow youngster is good enough to play for any top club in Europe.
