One of the best players for Liverpool so far this season has been Alexis Mac Allister, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been hugely impressed.
Alexis Mac Allister joined Liverpool from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2023.
Mac Allister cost Liverpool an initial transfer fee of £35 million (Sky Sports).
The 24-year-old was superb for Brighton last season and also helped Argentina win the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The midfielder has hit the ground running at Liverpool, although he has not always been deployed in his best position.
Mac Allister has given one assist in eight Premier League matches and also played 74 minutes in the UEFA Europa League for Liverpool so far this season.
Former Liverpool player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been impressed by Mac Allister.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was on the books of Liverpool from 2017 until 2023.
The Englishman joined Besiktas in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer.

Oxlade-Chamberlain told The Athletic: “And Trent is always telling me how good he (Dominik Szoboszlai) is, telling me he’s got a better shot than me.
“Alexis Mac Allister too, you can see his quality.
“A different type of No 6 to Fabinho, but it’s the way the team has been evolving the last couple of years with Thiago, Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones.
“It’s a different style from when I first went there when it was less possession-based and more chaos. Really good.”
My View: Alexis Mac Allister could become world class at Liverpool
In my opinion, Alexis Mac Allister could become a world-class player at Liverpool.
Mac Allister is 24 now and is still relatively young.
The Argentina international will not be at his peak for the next three or four years.
We have seen Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp improve the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and make them genuinely world class.
Why can’t that happen with Mac Allister?
Mac Allister is a regular for Argentina and plays alongside the great Lionel Messi.
He is only going to improve and get better.
I am 100% sure about that.
Mac Allister has made 106 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The midfielder has scored 16 goals and given six assists in those games.
