Queens Park Rangers wanted to make a late move for Kemar Roofe in 2016.

Queens Park Rangers were slayed by Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe yesterday as the 24-year-old bagged a match winning hat-trick at Loftus Road.
It was a clinical performance from the forward, who doubled his league goal tally for the season in one match.
For QPR it represented a missed opportunity, as they were considering making a move for him almost two years ago.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was in charge in West London at the time, and Roofe had already struck 24 goals for League Two Oxford by the end of January 2016.
QPR failed to act on their interest, and belatedly it has come back to bite them.
Roofe’s first game for Leeds was in August 2016, when he was ineffective in a 3-0 loss to the Hoops.
This time around it was very different, and a worst case scenario for QPR.
Leeds sit in seventh place, while QPR sit down in 19th position in the Championship as another season gets away from them. Roofe could have been quite handy right now for them.
