Jamie O’Hara has put his Tottenham Hotspur loyalties to one side to defend Arsenal’s Ben White.
The Gunners centre-back was controversially omitted from Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad.
In his place, Manchester United’s Harry Maguire was included, as was Eric Dier of Tottenham.
However, Maguire was by far the most controversial inclusion when you consider the fact that he hasn’t played a Premier League game for the Red Devils since their 4-0 defeat at Brentford on the second gameweek of the campaign.

But Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted on Twitter that Maguire – and Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings – are better defenders than the £50 million Arsenal man.
And here’s how the former Tottenham midfielder reacted:
Popular Arsenal fan and pundit Darren Bent added his dismay on Thursday following the announcement, as covered by HITC Sport.
However, this isn’t the final England squad for the World Cup.
Southgate will certainly make changes and it’s imperative that White – who has started all six of Arsenal’s Premier League outings – remains in tip-top form until the Three Lions boss makes a decision on who goes to Qatar.
The problem for White is that he’s been playing right-back, with William Saliba and Gabriel in central defence.
It isn’t helping his cause that he’s playing out of position but even still, he’s proven himself a stellar option in that role too.
