Cole Palmer has been superb for Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea since his move in the summer transfer window, and he was very good against Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.
Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League.
Cole Palmer played well for Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur
Cole Palmer started for the Blues in the London derby.
Palmer, who moved to Chelsea from defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer of 2023 for £40 million (Sky Sports), scored from the penalty spot in the 35th minute.
The 21-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has scored three goals and given two assists in five starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Mauricio Pochettino’s side so far this season.
Praise for Cole Palmer
Against Tottenham in the London derby, Palmer was very good on the ball, showcased his excellent passing skills, and kept his calm amid VAR delays, rash challenges, red cards, and disallowed goals.
As you can see below, Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was impressed by the display produced by Palmer, and so was AC Mikan star Yunus Musah.
Musah played with the attacker at England youth level before deciding to turn out for the USA national football team.
Chelsea are now 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 15 points from 11 matches.
The Blues are nine points behind fourth-placed and London rivals Arsenal.

I do not think that Chelsea are going to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
No way.
However, I believe that the London club are very much in the running for a top-four finish in the Premier League table.
Chelsea are starting to do well under manager Mauricio Pochettino and could soon become a force to be reckoned with.
