West Ham United face West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in the Premier League, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

West Ham United 1-1 West Bromwich Albion

The Hammers are back in form coincidentally after Dimitri Payet left, but West Brom are usually no pushovers. They lost heavily on their last trip to London when they faced Spurs, and should fare better here and do enough to grab a point.

Andy Carroll’s barnstorming form continues but this could be one of his toughest tests so far against a physical Tony Pulis side. But The Hammers could have too much quality in the final third, wearing down a resilient West Brom.

West Ham United 2-1 West Bromwich Albion

This promises to be an intriguing tie. West Ham have looked much stronger against sides outside the top 7 in recent weeks, emphasised by an impressive win away at Southampton, but West Brom showed yet again against Stoke why they currently lead the ‘best of the rest’ in the Premier League table. The Hammers seem to have some of their spark back though, and I think they’ll find a way to score a couple of goals against Tony Pulis’ notoriously tight defence.

West Ham United 2-0 West Bromwich Albion

West Ham are very much on the up and they should have too much for the Baggies this weekend. The Hammers look a completely different side since they ditched Dimitri Payet and three more points beckon this time out.

Che Thomas

West Ham United 1-1 West Bromwich Albion

West Ham are a much different team compared to when these sides last met, but the Hammers don’t have the threat of last season. I fancy a well-drilled Tony Pulis side to frustrate the home side and secure a draw that maintains the gap between the two teams.

West Ham United 1-2 West Bromwich Albion

West Ham may have improved of late but they still don’t win enough of their home games, and with a chance to close the gap to two points on eighth-place West Brom I’ve got a feeling they’ll bottle this one.
