Norwich City face Nottingham Forest on Saturday in the Championship, and HITC pundits give their predictions on the likely outcome.

Dan Coombs

Norwich City 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Ross McCormack could get off the mark for Forest against the side who wanted to sign him in the summer but the Canaries will not make the mistakes they did against Wigan in midweek. It is not too late for Alex Neil’s side to put together a run for the play-offs and they need to win games like this if they are to do so.

Norwich City 2-2 Nottingham Forest

Two teams who score a fair few but leak the odd goal as well, don’t expect a dull stalemate between Norwich and Forest. Britt Assombalonga and Cameron Jerome appear to be back on form too but can either side keep them out at the other end?

Norwich City 3-1 Nottingham Forest

After months of inconsistency, Norwich City appear to finally be putting a run together, having won their last 3 games. Forest themselves are in something of a purple patch, having put together back-to-back wins, but they’ve picked up just 9 points away from home this season, whilst Norwich have won 31 at home. I expect home advantage to tell for the resurgent Canaries.

Norwich City 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Norwich are just two points outside the play-off places and they should have enough to beat Forest despite the latter’s impressive victory against Aston Villa last time out. I am going for a narrow home win with a late goal to seal it.

Che Thomas

Norwich City 2-1 Nottingham Forest

The Norwich yo-yo form is back, but at the moment, it is very much on the up. Three wins and a draw in their last four games have pushed the Canaries back to the cusp of the playoffs, and I fancy another win against an albeit improving Forest side. Norwich are the second highest scorers in the Championship, while the visitors have the second worst defence.

Forest signed well in January and have gathered a bit of form under caretaker boss Gary Brazil, so I can’t see Norwich having it all their own way despite the Canaries’ home form. Alex Neil’s side need to win to keep in touch of the play-offs.
