Trevor Sinclair has said on talkSPORT that Raheem Sterling will leave Manchester City, amid reported interest from Arsenal.
Arsenal are interested in signing Sterling from Premier League rivals City in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.
Premier League champions City are reportedly willing to listen to offers for the former Liverpool star.
Former City winger Sinclair believes that Sterling will leave, and has added that he needs a fresh challenge.
Sinclair said on talkSPORT: “I might be wrong, but reading between the lines and the media that’s being released, I think they’d be prepared to let him go. I think there’s a potential move for Raheem this summer.
“You look at the individual; there are a few little rumours coming out that Man City are prepared to listen to offers. You look at the way he’s played during his time at Man City and he has been superb.”
The talkSPORT pundit added: “I think they’ll be a queue of clubs wanting to sign him, not on the last three or four months of form but on his previous nine years of performances.
“He’s not had any real injury problems. I look at him and he doesn’t look excited; he looks anxious about being out there.
“He’s proved to all the fans he’s a top player, so I think he needs a fresh challenge and I think it would coincide with the club’s model.”

Leaving Manchester City for Arsenal?
Sterling has been at City since 2015 when he joined from Liverpool.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has improved a lot over the years and has played well under City manager Pep Guardiola.
The England international, who can also operate as a winger, has won the Premier League title thrice, the FA Cup once, and the EFL Cup on four occasions with the Citizens.
Sterling has not always played regularly for City this season, and he has also not scored as many goals as he did in previous years.
The attacker made 28 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.
The Englishman scored 10 goals and gave seven assists in those games.
Sterling also made seven starts and four substitute appearances in the Champions League for City this campaign.
Arsenal would be a better team with Sterling in it, and perhaps manager Mikel Arteta would be able to convince him to switch to the Gunners despite no Champions League football and no prospect of winning the Premier League title next season.
Arteta worked with Sterling when he was a coach at City.
