Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has raved about reported Arsenal target Raheem Sterling on The Overlap.

Kane plays with Manchester City attacking midfielder Sterling for the England national team.

The 27-year-old Tottenham striker has outlined what makes the former Liverpool star so special.

The Daily Mail has reported that Sterling is one of the players City are willing to sell, with Arsenal interested in signing the 26-year-old, who can also play as a winger.

Kane said about Sterling on The Overlap: “So nippy, so good one-v-one, he is a huge part of how we play with England, his pace and directness one-v-one against the full-back, cutting inside, and he has been scoring a good amount of goals for a few years now.”

Raheem Sterling to Arsenal?

Sterling has not had the best of seasons for City on a personal level.

The former Liverpool attacker has not always played regularly for the Citizens this season.

The 26-year-old scored 10 goals and gave seven assists in 28 Premier League starts for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Sterling also did not make a huge impact in the Champions League final against Chelsea which Thomas Tuchel’s side won.

However, there is no doubt that Sterling would make Arsenal better in attack.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, and the Tottenham star’s aforementioned comments show just how good Sterling is.

The 26-year-old has improved his finishing as well – he scored 20 goals in the league last season and 17 in 2018-19 – and he would be a big source of goals from midfield that Arsenal are lacking at the moment.

However, Sterling would cost a lot in transfer fees and wages.

City paid an initial £44 million for the attacker in 2015, as reported by BBC Sport at the time, and they are unlikely to sell him for a huge loss this summer.
