PSG have reportedly thrown their hat into the ring to sign Ajax superstar Antony, a player who is also being tracked by both Liverpool and Manchester City.

According to Le 10 Sport, Mauricio Pochettino is a huge fan of the Brazilian winger, who has been sensational for the Eredivisie club since joining them from South America in 2020. And now, some of Europe’s biggest clubs are chasing Antony ahead of the transfer window.

90min have previously claimed that Liverpool have shown a real interest in signing Antony, whilst Tuttosport have recently reported that City are eyeing the 22-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for Riyad Mahrez.

With a reported price tag of €50m (£42m) as per Sky Germany, Antony will be a huge investment for any club that wins the race for the Ajax star. Yet given his stats this season, the winger could well be worth the transfer fee.

The Liverpool and City target has bagged 12 goals in all competitions along with ten assists, and for the Premier League clubs and PSG, the South American youngster could be a fantastic investment given his qualities and potential.

Indeed, after spending time at Ajax, Antony is technically ready to play at some of the biggest clubs in Europe, yet for Liverpool and PSG, it is City who could be best suited to both sign the winger as well as accommodate him in the XI.

Hailed as a ‘super talent’ by Chelsea and Ajax scout Pier de Visser as per Fox Sports, Antony has the potential to be a world-beater if his development continues as well as it has been in recent years, and City could be the perfect club for the Brazilian to further his game.

Under Pep Guardiola’s coaching and City’s development plan, Antony could be a sensation for the Manchester giants if given a sufficient amount of playing time to grow, with Liverpool and PSG likely only able to offer the winger the same amount of minutes.
