Liverpool are showing an interest in signing Ajax winger Antony in order to add yet another attacking talent to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

That’s according to 90Min, who claim that Antony is attracting major interest from Premier League clubs ahead of the summer.

Liverpool are the main club interested in Antony, and he appears to have been a long-term target for the Reds.

It’s claimed that Liverpool have been tracking Antony since his days at Sao Paulo back in his native Brazil.

Liverpool scouts have been impressed with how Antony has adjusted and developed since heading to Europe in 2020.

Still only 21, Antony has racked up 11 goals and eight assists in 25 appearances for Ajax this season.

Dazzling so much in Amsterdam that Ajax have flogged fellow winger David Neres to Shakhtar Donetsk, Antony is excelling in the Eredivisie.

Boss Erik ten Hag has already predicted that Antony will be leaving Ajax soon, previously noting that he is a ‘fantastic’ player.

Antony would be a great fit on the right side of Liverpool’s attack, cutting inside onto his left foot just like Mohamed Salah.

With blistering pace and outstanding technique, Antony has so much in his locker to become a star of the future.

Imagine if Liverpool sign Antony? Their attacking options would be strong than ever before under Jurgen Klopp.

Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah – the famed front three at Liverpool – are still at Anfield and contributing massively.

Diogo Jota has proven to be a breath of fresh air, whilst Luis Diaz has shown promising signs since arriving in January.

Antony could be the next exciting attacker to join Liverpool, with the idea of Diaz, Jota and Antony being Liverpool’s next great attacking trident.
