HITC understands that former Premier League midfielder Renato Sanches is set to be part of the deal that will take Joao Neves to Paris Saint-Germain.

Renato Sanches had a previous spell at Swansea City, back when the Jacks were in the Premier League but the Portuguese midfielder struggled hugely as the Welsh side were relegated from England’s top division.

Sanches made a name for himself at the 2016 European Championships held in France with his all-action style of play and his tough tackling impressing many of Europe’s top sides.

Bayern Munich took the plunge but that didn’t work out and it now appears Sanches could be heading back to Portugal with another promising midfielder going the other way.

Paris Saint Germain agree personal terms with Joao Neves

HITC can confirm that Joao Neves has agreed personal terms earlier this month with PSG but talks have been ongoing between the French giants and Benfica, who showed a willingness to do a deal after the player confirmed his intent to move to the French capital.

Now, HITC understands that PSG are going to pay around €70million (£58 million) for Neves but will also include former Bayern and Swansea midfielder Sanches in the deal that will see him return to his first club.

The Portuguese midfielder spent last season on loan at Italian giants Roma but made just seven appearances in Serie A.

A move for Neves, who has been of interest to Manchester United and Arsenal, is set to leave the door open for a key PSG midfielder to depart the Parc Des Princes this summer.

Neves arrival set to accelerate Manuel Ugarte departure

With the arrival of the Portuguese midfielder Neves close to being completed, this is set to accelerate the departure of Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte, who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

HITC understands talks are indeed going on with United, as manager Erik ten Hag is keen on bolstering his midfield options.

United value Ugarte at around €45million (£37 million) whilst PSG see him closer to €70million (£58 million), but there is belief on both sides that a deal will be agreed.

HITC also understands that the player’s camp have made it clear to PSG’s top brass that the Uruguayan wants to move to Old Trafford.
