Trent Alexander-Arnold has posted on Ibrahima Konate’s Instagram that he is ‘proud’ of his Liverpool teammate after he made his France debut.
On Friday, France recorded a 1-1 draw with Ralf Ragnick’s Austria in the UEFA Nations League, with Konate playing at the heart of the defence, alongside, Arsenal defender, William Saliba.
And yesterday, Konate took to his Instagram to express his ‘pride’ in donning the colours of his country and making his debut for France.
That’s where the likes of Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk expressed their happiness towards their Liverpool teammate.

KONATE HAS HAD AN OUTSTANDING DEBUT CAMPAIGN ON MERSEYSIDE
It has been an outstanding debut campaign for the hard-hitting defender in the Premier League, topped off by his France debut.
Whilst Konate wasn’t a regular throughout, as the season grew, the £36 million signing (Sky Sports) started to earn more minutes, with Jurgen Klopp using him in the bigger games.
That includes the Champions League, domestic finals and the European Cup final itself.
In years to come, the hope from those on Merseyside is that Konate can replace Van Dijk as the club’s main man at the back.
Now, Van Dijk has a long way to go yet in leaving or hanging up his boots, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if that is the main centre-back partnership sooner rather than later.
At this moment in time, Joel Matip will feel that he is the regular alongside Liverpool’s ice-cool Dutchman.
Whilst Joe Gomez, who hasn’t started many games since his long-term injury last season, is another one to be remembered.
