Harry Kane has stated that Tottenham’s pre-season match against Glasgow Rangers on Saturday felt like a ‘proper game’, as he told the club’s official Twitter account.

The England striker struck a brace in Scotland as Spurs beat Rangers 2-1, with Kane labelling the Ibrox atmosphere as ‘great’.

Even though the Gers opened the scoring through Antonio Colak, when the teams came out after the break, Kane struck two within six minutes to send the win in his side’s direction.

Conte’s side remain unbeaten in pre-season and they will face former boss, Jose Mourinho and his Roma team, next week, whilst Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side will now kick off the Premiership season against Livingston in six days time.

Nonetheless, after yesterday’s encounter in Glasgow, this is what Kane had to say about the game and the atmosphere.

“A really tough game against a really good side,” said Kane. “Great atmosphere. It felt like a proper game.

“As a striker, you always want to be feeling the net and thankfully I was able to do that with a couple.”

WHAT WILL BE A SUCCESSFUL SEASON FOR RANGERS AND TOTTENHAM?

For the Glasgow club, it’s without a doubt trying to regain the Premiership crown off their bitter rivals Celtic.

If domestic trophies can be added to that, then the more the merrier, whilst Rangers will also be hoping to go one better in Europe after losing the Europa League final last season.

As for Spurs, it’s all about adding that much-needed trophy to their cabinet, and with the serial winner, Antonio Conte on board, then they have every chance.

But they also have to be wary that the fight for Champions League football is going to be as tough as ever.

So, maintaining those top-four spots, added with a trophy, would be considered a success for the London side.
