West Ham United are reportedly closing in on the signing of another midfielder this summer as the club continue their rebuild.
Since being appointed as manager to replace David Moyes at West Ham United, Julen Lopetegui has been busy this summer with the Spaniard being allowed to spend a whole host of money this summer to help improve the Hammers.
West Ham have signed Real Betis’ Guido Rodriguez and have also signed Palmeiras’ teenage sensation Luis Guilherme earlier this summer, too.
Now, according to reports, West Ham are closing in on their third signing of the summer which would take the number of new additions to nine.

Earlier this summer, West Ham were keen on bringing N’Golo Kante back to the Premier League but it now appears another Kante could be closing in on a move to the Hammers.
According to a report from The Athletic, West Ham are closing in on the signing of Paris FC midfielder Mohamadou Kante, with the teenager set to sign a five-year deal. The teenager will spend next season out on loan
The 18-year-old midfielder had been in discussions with Paris FC over a new and improved deal but it now appears the teenager is heading to England. Kante is a highly regarded prospect and is considered one for the future, this could be a major coup for the Hammers.
West Ham’s decision to loan the midfielder back to Paris FC could prove to be a wise one with the teenager needing time to develop and play football before moving to the Hammers.

Despite only making nine appearances for Paris FC’s first team, the midfielder looks to be an exciting prospect and one for fans of the Hammers to get excited about.
Another midfield prospect that West Ham have signed this summer is Palmeiras midfielder Luis Guilherme, who was hailed as ‘outstanding before his move to East London.
With a new manager at the helm, this could be an exciting time for the club. West Ham kicked off their season with a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa but there were certainly positives from that game.
