Kevin Campbell has said on Highbury Squad that he has never heard anything bad about Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The Sky Sports pundit was impressed by the performance of Lacazette during Arsenal’s win against West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League in midweek.

The striker could not convert a penalty in the London derby, but he provided an assist.

Former Arsenal striker Campbell has praised Lacazette, and has said that he has never heard a bad word about him.

Campbell said about Lacazette: “No, I haven’t. He is one of these guys who is a good professional and he wants to play, he wants to help. You know it’s in him.”

Alexandre Lacazette as new Arsenal captain?

In our opinion, it would not be a bad idea for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to make Lacazette the new club captain.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is no longer the Arsenal captain, and the Gunners need to find a replacement.

Now, of course, we know that Lacazette is out of contract at the Gunners at the end of the season.

And we think that it is unlikely that a new deal will be agreed.

But we also know how good the £46.5 million striker (BBC Sport) is with the young players at Arsenal.

Lacazette is a senior player in the Arsenal team, and his professionalism and commitment has been publicly praised by Arteta.
