Seth Rollins and The Rock will go down as two of the biggest ever stars to work in WWE and wrestling in general.
Unfortunately for the avid WWE fan, we haven’t got to see the duo cross paths due to timings and different stages of their careers.
However, we were very much treated to Rollins and Rocky going back and forth in the build up to WrestleMania 40 and following that, we got to see them compete in the ring in a tag match alongside Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
But just what does Rollins really think of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson? Well, he’s explained just this week exactly what it’s like to work with him.

Seth Rollins gives his honest opinion on working with The Rock
Anyone who gets to wrestle The Rock knows they’re doing something right to be afforded that opportunity.
He is without doubt the biggest star to ever emerge from the WWE – in terms of global reach – and remains a key figure behind the scenes in modern terms.
But in the way purely working with him, Rollins admitted that it was a real blessing.
“Oh man. Wrestling the Rock in one of the main events was pretty wild. When you get into the business you’re kind of like, what are my dreams, my goals, you have a list of people you might want to get into the ring with but the Rock was long gone before I even started,” Rollins explained on Delivering Happiness Podcast.
“So the Rock coming back and being part of our story and when I realised we were going to have a tag match, I was like, this is pretty shocking – but in a good way. But what I was most interested in was what his process was. He’s done it all. Not just in our business he’s the biggest star in the world. So what’s your process? Why do you want to be here? Why do you want to do this now?
Adding further comment on what became a personal relationship as well, Rollins praised The Rock for how he was with his family as well.
“I got to know him on a bit of a personal level as well, and that was extremely beneficial for me. He’s just such a good guy. I consider him a bit of a mentor now. He was kind enough to have my family and I to his Moana 2 premiere out in Hawaii. Brought us to the resort there and we were able to hang out and see the thing on the lawn. My daughter, she’s five, she loved it, thought it was the coolest thing in the world.
“He doesn’t have to come back to WWE and wrestle. He doesn’t have to offer these types of things to you and your family, but he does. People in his position get a bad rap sometimes and he himself gets a bad rap. It’s all b–ls–t. He’s a good dude. He’s a good guy. He’s someone I’d like to have a Ying Yang with, or in his case a tequila.”
The Rock and Rollins’ back and forth in the build to WM40 was one of the greatest promo segments we’ve had in years.
Crucially, ‘The Architect’ very much held his own and in doing so, probably earned even more respect from Rocky than ever before.
Round two, anyone?
