Craig Burley has stated that Arsenal transfer target and West Ham United star Declan Rice securing a summer move to Newcastle United would be a ‘pretty good deal’.
The former Chelsea player thinks Eddie Howe needs ‘another midfielder’ to complement what Bruno Guimaraes brings to the table and he feels Declan Rice could be that guy.
Whilst West Ham don’t want to lose their star player and their captain, it seems as though, with 12 months remaining on his contract this summer, he will leave.

David Moyes has already made it clear that he will cost more than the £107 million Chelsea paid for Enzo Fernandez – would that be off-putting for those interested parties?
One of them is Premier League title-chasers Arsenal, with suggestions that Rice is ‘excited’ by the club’s interest in him amid Newcastle also being in the picture.
Well, for Craig Burley, he is a player he thinks the Magpies, who could be playing Champions League football next season, should be pushing for, as he told ESPN.
“What about another midfielder to complement Guimaraes,” said Burley. “Maybe another wide guy.
“If I could go and get Declan Rice, to sit in front of the back four, and they have the money. He probably wants to go to a side that’s further down the road, in terms of their progression.
“But if I could sit him in front of the back four and let Guimaraes and all these others go and play, then I think it would be a pretty good deal.”

RICE SHOULD JOIN A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CLUB
Whilst Arsenal don’t know whether or not they will be champions of England this season, one thing is for sure, they will be back in the Champions League next season.
The same can’t be said for Newcastle yet, who are favourites for a top-four finish, but they still need to push themselves over the line.
Either way, if Rice leaves the London Stadium, it needs to be for a team in the Champions League because it would be the rightful step up.
