A round-up of the latest Premier League transfer gossip from Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Manchester United as Liverpool also hear about a 33-year-old’s availability.

Sources have confirmed to HITC Football that Newcastle United have held initial talks over a transfer for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips. But the 28-year-old continues to wait to resolve his future. The Toon are the favourites but hope to clear space in their squad first.

Newcastle and West Ham United are interested in securing the transfer of Hugo Ekitike from Paris Saint-Germain, HITC Football understands. Crystal Palace, Fulham and Wolves are also showing an interest in the 21-year-old. The striker wants to move to England in January, too.

Scouts for Manchester United attended Atalanta BC’s 1-1 draw at AS Roma on Sunday to see Giorgio Scalvini in action, HITC Football understands. The Red Devils have kept close tabs on the 20-year-old for the last year. He is also viewed as one of Europe’s top centre-half talents.

Intermediaries have informed Liverpool of the potential availability of Jordan Henderson as the ex-Reds captain pushes to return to England, HITC Football understands. He has already told Al-Ettifaq of his desire to leave the Saudi Pro League side. Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also been informed of the 33-year-old’s potential availability.

West Ham are keen to sell Danny Ings in the January transfer window but his lucrative salary is causing problems. HITC Football understands the Irons hope to sell the 31-year-old to also sign a new striker in January. But Burnley, Wolves and Nottingham Forest are yet to advance their interest in Ings given he earns £150k-a-week at London Stadium with a deal until 2026.

Additionally, HITC Football understands that West Ham are interested in Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto in the January transfer market. The 20-year-old also has interest from Roma plus AC Milan, Atalanta, Napoli and Lazio with the Whites open to selling their Italy forward.

Arsenal transfer gossip

Arsenal are showing an interest in a transfer for Wolfsburg centre-half David Odogu, per the Daily Mail. But Brentford, Chelsea and Leicester City are also admirers of the gifted 17-year-old. Wolfsburg also hope to keep Odogu in Germany by offering him a professional contract.

Arsenal are advancing their talks with Everton about the transfer of Amadou Onana, reports Sacha Tavolieri. Negotiations are now intense between the Premier League teams as the 22-year-old is keen on the move. Onana’s transfer might even now develop quickly this month.

Real Madrid have now added Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite to their shortlist for a summer transfer, the Daily Mail reports. The 21-year-old has already attracted interest from Premier League clubs like Manchester United and Tottenham but Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan.

Manchester United are closing in on a transfer for Queen’s Park goalkeeper Callan McKenna, the Daily Record reports. Talks are at an advanced stage for an add-on heavy deal for the 17-year-old Scotland U19 talent. Arsenal and Chelsea had also shown an interest in his transfer.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer gossip

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have now joined Tottenham and Napoli in the transfer race for Genoa centre-half Radu Dragusin, per Gazeta Sporturilur. Der FCB are also open to a deal straight away as Genoa seek €30m (£26m). HITC Football also understands that Tottenham remain confident of beating Bayern to Dragusin’s transfer having so far bid €25m (£21.5m).

Tottenham may now let Alfie Whiteman and Djed Spence leave on loan in January but Oliver Skipp wants to fight for his spot under Ange Postecoglou, per football.london. Spence is also training with Spurs’ Under-21s after returning from his unsuccessful spell with Leeds United.
