Brentford boss Thomas Frank has outlined that Tottenham Hotspur target David Raya will cost £40million this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur want David Raya but Brentford boss Thomas Frank is eyeing a hefty transfer fee.
The curtain came down on Brentford’s second Premier League campaign on Sunday as they faced champions Manchester City.
The Bees claimed another scalp as Ethan Pinnock grabbed a late winner for Frank’s side.
That means Brentford have become the only team to do the double over this all-conquering City side this season.
That’s a major feather in the cap for Frank, who will now just be hoping to keep the majority of his side together for next season and beyond.
Ivan Toney is now serving a ban and goalkeeper David Raya could be on the move this summer.
Brentford are already lining up a deal for Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken, suggesting that they are planning for life without Raya.
The Spaniard is out of contract in 2024 and this is surely the right time to sell up before he leaves for nothing.

Raya is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be right in the mix as they look for a new goalkeeper this summer.
Hugo Lloris looks set to move on this summer and landing a ball-playing goalkeeper like Raya makes sense.
The Daily Mail claimed earlier in May that Tottenham do want to sign Raya but are currently valuing him at around £20million.
Raya, hailed as a ‘top class’ goalkeeper by Michael Owen, could be Tottenham’s goalkeeper for years to come if they can strike a deal.
Frank has now told The Athletic that Raya is the only Brentford player for sale this summer.
The Dane suggested that Brentford must receive ‘crazy high amounts’ for their players in order to accept summer deals.
Frank claims the price tag on Raya’s head is £40million as a result, even with just a year left on his contract.
“I think we only have one player for sale,” said Frank. “That’s the one that’s been talked about a lot, David. He costs £40m, I think I said.”
“We are a selling club. I don’t think that’s a secret. But they need to be crazy high amounts for the players for anyone to leave. I’m pretty sure that everyone, including myself, is very happy here at Brentford,” he added.
