It has been reported that the Turkish giants will make a loan offer for the former Stoke City winger, who is claimed to be open to leaving Liverpool this summer after finding it hard to play regular first-team football.
However, according to the report, Galatasaray will make an offer for the Switzerland international only if they win the league title this season.
Fatih Terim’s side are three points behind Trabzonspor and Istanbul Basaksehir in third place in the Turkish Super Lig table at the moment.
Leaving Liverpool
Shaqiri has been at Liverpool since the summer of 2018, and he won the Champions League last season and is on the verge of clinching the Premier League title this campaign.
However, the 28-year-old winger – described as a “wonderful player” by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to Viasport Fotball on May 28, 2019 (click here to read more). – is essentially a squad player at Anfield, and it would make sense fo him to find a club where he can play regularly.
