Tottenham Hotspur appear to be ahead of Manchester United in the thinking of Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy ahead of the January transfer window.
Tottenham have coped well with the departure of Harry Kane having seen Son Heung-min and now Richarlison step up.
Spurs may still be tempted to spend on a new striker in 2024 and there have been rumours surrounding a number of forwards.
Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez has been linked but Spurs could look towards Germany and target a striker challenging Kane in the scoring charts.
Serhou Guirassy fancies Tottenham Hotspur move
The Sun now claim that Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy is interested in joining Tottenham in January.
It’s stated that Manchester United want Guirassy but he would prefer to sign for Spurs.
That’s a major positive for Tottenham and a sign that the project under Ange Postecoglou is attractive to potential signings.
Spurs must now weigh up whether they actually want to make a move for Guirassy or leave him to consider other clubs.
Claims from TEAMtalk earlier this season suggested that Spurs had been exploring a deal for the Guinea international.
Hailed as ‘phenomenal’ by boss Sebastian Hoeness, Guirassy has been in simply ridiculous form this season, smashing 17 goals in just 14 Bundesliga appearances.

That is enough to turn anybody’s head but Tottenham may have some concerns about moving for Guirassy.
Firstly, Guirassy is scheduled to be at the Africa Cup of Nations with Guinea, making a January move a little more complicated and potentially meaning he would miss games.
Another concern is that Guirassy has never been in this kind of form before.
Guirassy has bounced around a host of French and German clubs before racking up goal after goal at Stuttgart.
We would be wary of this being a purple patch and something Guirassy couldn’t really replicate in the Premier League.
Tottenham and Postecoglou will now have to decide whether to take a chance on Guirassy, with one hurdle cleared given that he is seemingly keen to make the move to North London when the window opens.
