Paul Merson has predicted Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur to win against Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground in the Premier League this weekend, as quoted in SportsKeeda.

The former Arsenal star has backed Tottenham to pick up all three points from their match against Forest on Sunday courtesy of a 3-0 win.

Nottingham Forest v Tottenham Hotspur

Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “Tottenham need to get through the first 20 minutes unscathed this weekend. If Forest score first, the home crowd will be raucous.

“That’ll put a bit of air in the home side’s lungs, and they might be able to ride their luck along the way.

“The longer this Premier League game goes on, the better it will be for Tottenham. They will open Nottingham Forest up, and there’s a sense of ruthlessness about them.

“They were poor against Wolves, but they worked hard and turned it around in the end. Tottenham should be able to secure a comfortable victory this weekend.”

Spurs are favourites

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur will head into the Premier League match against Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground as favourites.

As Merson notes, Spurs were not particularly great against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last league match, but they got the job done in the end.

Antonio Conte’s side are looking ruthless in attack, and defensively they are strong as well.

Now, of course, Forest are doing relatively well too and will have home advantage this weekend.

But, Tottenham have a better team and should pick up all three points from the Premier League game in the end.

We expect Tottenham to bag all three points from the match against Forest and maintain their strong start to the season.

After all, Spurs have the better players.
