Sunderland, Crystal Palace, Hull City, Swansea City, Middlesbrough and the Premier League champions, Leicester City, are all battling for survival this season.
With the end of the season drawing closer and closer, the race to stay in the Premier League is hotting up. After yet another weekend of upsets and shock results, up to six teams look to be battling for survival. But who will stay up? And, more importantly, who is the most likely to go down? Before you get a chance to vote, here’s a look at the contenders…
Sunderland

Currently sat rock bottom of the Premier League table, David Moyes’ Sunderland have been having a tough time from the get go, picking up 19 points with a goal difference of -18. However, a 0-4 hammering of Crystal Palace this weekend shows that Sunderland aren’t going down without a fight, and could well stay up if they can keep performances to that level.

Crystal Palace

Despite bringing in former Sunderland and England boss, Sam Allardyce, Crystal Palace are still stuck at the bottom of the Premier League, and are now level on points with Sunderland with a goal difference of -13. However, with talented players like Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha, Yohan Cabaye and Yannick Bolasie in their team, surely Palace can’t go down…can they?
Hull City

Currently sat in 18th, Hull City have enjoyed somewhat of a revival under new manager Marco Silva, after picking up an impressive 2-0 win against Liverpool at the weekend. However, with a goal difference of -25, could Hull City’s defence let them down…all the way down to the Championship?

Swansea City

After bringing in former Derby County manager, Paul Clement, Swansea City have climbed out of the relegation zone, now sitting 17th in the table on 21 points. However, with a goal difference of -25, like Hull City, Swansea City are going to need to work on tightening that leaky defence if they’re going to stay up.
Middlesbrough

Level on points with Swansea City and Leicester City, Middlesbrough aren’t anywhere near safe yet. However, after adding a number of decent attacking players in January, Boro could well be set for survival as they look to make a successful end to their first season back in the Premier League.
Leicester City

Surely it can’t happen? The Premier League champions are now just a point away from dropping into the relegation zone, as Claudio Ranieri struggles to arrest Leicester City’s dramatic slide down the table. Many expected the Foxes to focus on the Champions League more than the Premier League this season, but now Leicester are finding themselves in hot water.
