There were plenty more dodgy refereeing decisions over the weekend, as Arsenal, Liverpool, Watford, Burnley and Derby County all looked to have been hard-done by. But which shocked you the most over the weekend? Take part in this HITC poll.

Martin Atkinson – Chelsea’s First Goal

It was a romping performance by Chelsea this weekend as they beat title-rivals Arsenal 3-1, but could it have all been different? Chelsea’s first goal, a leaping header from full-back Marcos Alonso, could well have been given as a foul on Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, who had to go off injured.

Lee Mason – Robertson handball?

Liverpool faltered to a defeat at the hands of Hull City over the weekend, but should they have had a vital penalty? A strike into the box appeard to hit Andrew Robertson’s arm, but the referee waved away the decision due to it coming off another Hull City player. Was this the right decision?

Darren Bond – Derby County penalty?

In the dying moments of the game, Derby County were trailing Newcastle United 1-0 and in desperate search of a goal, sent goalkeeper Scott Carson up for the corner. However, Carson went to ground, and the replay appeared to show him being wrestled over, off the ball. Did Darren Bond miss a vital foul at such an important time of the game?

Michael Oliver – Hendrick sending off…Niang sending off?

Burnley found themselves down to ten men in the early stages of the game after Jeff Hendrick was sent off for a foul of Watford’s Jose Holebas. But did the tackle instead merit a yellow card? It was indeed rash, but perhaps a sending off was harsh, especially so early on in the game.

Alternatively Burnley could also feel aggrieved that Watford’s goalscorer Niang wasn’t sent off. After already being on a yellow, Niang celebrated his goal with the fans, which by the letter of the law merits a yellow card. Could this sending off have changed the course of the game?
