Tim Sherwood has hailed Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison and how he plays with a ‘point to prove’, as well as bigging up Harry Kane.
The former Spurs boss added that the fans ‘love’ Richarlison and that he likes the attitude he has brought to north London following his summer transfer from Everton.
Over the weekend, Spurs recorded a 2-0 win over Frank Lampard’s side, with Richarlison starting the game, but going off injured in the second half.

The 25-year-old did post on his Instagram that ‘everything will be fine’, but ESPN Brazil also reported that he was crying in the dressing room and he was on crutches.
Whilst the versatile forward was the main man on Merseyside, there are two men – Kane and Son Heung-min – who are well above his station before he could walk into Hotspur Way.
Richarlison might find that he can dethrone Son and Dejan Kulusevski from the XI, but never Kane, as Sherwood praised the South American star and the England captain, as he told Premier League Productions.
“I think he has settled in well,” said Sherwood. “The fans are loving him. Antonio Conte likes him. He likes his attributes and what he had at Everton, hence why he took him to Tottenham.
“I think he is one of the main reasons, along with Jordan Pickford, why they are still in the Premier League. It got tight in the end (for Everton last season) and he (Lampard) needed players to stand up, and Richarlison was certainly one who came to the party at the right time.
“I really like him. I like his attitude. I like the fact that when he is on the bench, he comes on with a point to prove and also plays well whenever he comes off the bench.”
On Kane: “He has got this knack of just forgetting the poor and just remembers the positive. I mean that’s the third penalty he has had in the Premier League against England colleagues. He has had it against Henderson, Ramsdale and now the main man against Pickford.
“He missed one against Henderson, but he bounces back. Not even Antonio Conte would suggest Kane goes off penalties, it wouldn’t be worth his life.”

RICHARLISON CAN IMPROVE FURTHER
During his days in the Premier League, whether it be in Watford, Everton or now Spurs colours, Richarlison has always been a nuisance in the final third.
He is a player that is capable of turning a game on its head without getting on the scoresheet because he can create something out of nothing.
But what would seriously elevate his game, is if he could hit the numbers the likes of Kane and Son are able to produce.
Son, alongside Mohamed Salah, was the Premier League’s top-scorer last season, whilst Kane gets Golden Boots in his sleep, so if Richarlison can add that form of ruthless nature to his game, then it would make him and Spurs very dangerous.
