The Tottenham Hotspur boss was bitterly disappointed with his side’s performance last night.
Spurs were dealt a huge blow in their hopes of Premier League glory last night, as they failed to close the gap on league leaders Chelsea after a drab 0-0 draw at Sunderland, and Mauricio Pochettino explained what his team must learn if they are to become successful, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Would this man have made a difference for Tottenham last night?
The gap between Tottenham and the Blues remains at nine points, after Antonio Conte’s men dropped two points at Anfield last night.

And Pochettino spoke to reporters after his side’s lacklustre performance against the Black Cats, highlighting a particular facet of their game that the players must get right sooner rather than later, if they are to mount a sustained challenge for the league title, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:
“We showed a lack of aggression in the first half and that was the problem. We can’t afford to play in that way when we’re playing for big things. We need to learn about that and try to fix it and Saturday is another opportunity for us to win three points.”

The Lilywhites face Middlesbrough at White Hart Lane on Saturday, whilst Chelsea and Arsenal square off, so they will have another opportunity to gain ground on those around them in the table, whatever the result at Stamford Bridge.
