The Portuguese winger could be just what Tottenham Hotspur need to take them to the next level.
Mauricio Pochettino currently has a fantastic squad at his disposal at White Hart Lane, but one criticism often levelled at Spurs is their lack of creativity and invention during tight games, especially in the business end of the season.
The Argentine has regularly insisted that there is minimal chance of his side signing anyone this month, but that he and the Tottenham board are always open to doing business, should the opportunity arise.
One player who could make a huge difference to Pochettino’s side, from a creativity standpoint is Valencia’s mercurial winger Nani.
Nani during his time with Manchester United
The 30-year-old Portuguese international arrived at the Mestalla in the summer, and has gone on to make 16 appearances for Los Che in all competitions.
He is extremely talented and one of the most gifted players technically. He has a winning mentality and the experience of playing at the very highest level.
He also has four Premier League titles and a Champions League winners medal to his name.
And with the Tottenham squad bereft of serial winners, the addition of Nani could prove to be a coup both on and off the pitch.
Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates with Nani
The 105-capped Portugal international is well-known for his ability to produce the miraculous form out of nowhere, and that is something that arguably only Christan Eriksen and Dele Alli are capable of in the Spurs squad.
The potential addition of Nani would give the Lilywhites that little bit extra, and something different from what they already possess, and it could be argued that they would have a far greater chance of Premier League glory with him amongst the squad.
