According to numerous reports, PSG are interested in bringing Tanguy Ndombele to Paris this month.
It has been reported that the Frenchman could join the Ligue 1 giants on loan, while other reports have claimed that a swap deal involving Leandro Paredes is on the cards.
Regardless of what the reality of the situation is, one thing seems abundantly clear, PSG want Ndombele.
To be honest, we shouldn’t be all that surprised to hear that Le Parisians want to bring Ndombele in. After all, it was Mauricio Pochettino who signed him at Tottenham, and he had plenty of good things to say about him.
What’s Pochettino said about Ndombele?
Unfortunately, Poch didn’t get the chance to manage Ndombele for too long as he was sacked just a few months after his arrival.
However, after the midfielder’s debut, he gave him a glowing review, claiming that he has ‘amazing potential’.
What’s Pochettino said about Ndombele?
The Argentine praised Spurs’ record signing after his debut.
“Overall it was a fantastic performance but to be honest, I think there is room to improve,” Pochettino said.
“He only showed 30-40 per cent of his potential, he has amazing potential still to improve.
“(Scoring) is one of the aspects that he needs to work on, he didn’t score too many goals at Lyon but that is one of the areas that is a target for him to improve this season.
“But it’s so early, it’s his first game, (and) he scored. I’m delighted for him, very pleased for him. You know when a player arrives at a team from a different country it’s difficult to adapt and that’s going to help him to feel happy, of course, and feel comfortable on the pitch with the team.”

Time to shine
Pochettino said that Ndombele had amazing potential after his debut, and now may be the time for him to realise it.
Ndombele shined in Ligue 1 during his time at Lyon, and there’s no reason why he can’t do the same at PSG.
If he went to PSG, he’d be able to play in a much more dominant team where his lackadaisical style could be catered for, and if he’s given license to create, he could once again become an absolute star in France.
