Mauricio Pochettino links with Tottenham Hotspur are simply not going away.
Mauricio Pochettino rumour
The Paris Saint-Germain manager has been heavily linked with a return to Tottenham.
The Sun reported last month that Spurs want to re-hire Pochettino, who himself is keen on a return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
TalkSPORT reported last weekend that although Tottenham’s new managing director Fabio Paratici wants Nuno, there are others at the club who still want to go for the 49-year-old.
As we covered here on HITC Sport, Duncan Castles said on the Transfer Window Podcast this week that Pochettino is continuing to put pressure on Paris Saint-Germain to let him leave.
Fresh clue
However, a new report has suggested that Pochettino might actually be happy at PSG and not want to leave.
ESPN are reporting that Achraf Hakimi will join PSG from Inter Milan in a €70 million (£59.82 million).
The report has claimed that the 22-year-old former Real Madrid right-back was ‘a priority for manager Mauricio Pochettino and sporting director Leonardo’.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano had earlier claimed that it was Pochettino who convinced Georginio Wijnaldum to join PSG instead of Barcelona.
And now Pochettino is about to get another of the players he wants, Hakimi.
Surely, if the Argentine wants to leave PSG, he is not going to bring in players he wants.
Tottenham fans would love Pochettino to be back as the manager, but it is unlikely that it will happen this summer.
