Unfortunately for Arsenal, one more Harry Kane goal for Tottenham Hotspur would see him equal the all-time record.
The 29-year-old hitman scored in Spurs’ 1-0 victory over Portsmouth in the FA Cup last weekend.
In doing so, Kane, who already has a phenomenal record against Arsenal, moved one behind Jimmy Greaves’s total of 266 goals for Tottenham [BBC Sport].
And with the Gunners visiting their North London rivals on Sunday, there is a chance that the England international could equal – or even break – the record.
Considering it would be against Arsenal, the old enemy, that’s an ideal scenario for someone like Kane and no doubt he’ll be additionally motivated to do it.

Here’s what former goalkeeper David Seaman has said after hearing this morning that he could do it in a derby.
He told the Seaman Says podcast: “There’s something on my mind about this North London derby. Somebody’s really close to a goalscoring record. Ugh, man. Please no! We’d never hear the end of that. I was listening to the radio this morning and I was like ‘Oh no’. I don’t want that to happen at all.”
Harry Kane record v Arsenal
As mentioned, Kane’s record v Arsenal is exceptional.
Going into Sunday’s encounter at Tottenham’s stadium, he has netted 14 goals in 17 North London derbies.
This makes him a massive threat to Mikel Arteta’s side – who, incidentally, are going for the Premier League title – and given the occasion, best believe he’ll be hungry to break the record on a stage like this.
