Pochettino was linked with a return to North London during the summer as a replacement for Jose Mourinho.
The Argentine wound up staying with Paris Saint-Germain and Spurs ultimately hired Nuno Espirito Santo.
But The Standard reported on Friday that Tottenham still ‘covet’ their former 49-year-old coach, who led the club to a Champions League final only two years ago.

Pochettino’s side were heading toward a 1-0 defeat at home to Lille but two goals in the final quarter helped PSG turn it around to win 2-1.
Still, things haven’t been going that well for the legendary Tottenham boss – well, considering he has arguably the best offence in world football.
You never get the feeling that he’s too far away from the chop, and it’s the same with Nuno at Spurs.
But losing at home to Manchester United tonight might be the final straw for the North Londoners’ board.
