Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly still interested in Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs fired the Argentine coach two years ago but it has proven a poor decision by Daniel Levy.
Tottenham’s decision to hire Jose Mourinho as his replacement ultimately bombed and it has to be said that under Nuno Espirito Santo, things don’t look all that promising.
The Lilywhites have lost four of their first nine Premier League games under the Portuguese coach so far and rumours of a dismissal aren’t going to go away, particularly if they lose to Manchester United this weekend.
Prior to Nuno coming in, there was speculation about Levy bringing Pochettino back to North London [The Sun].
And The Evening Standard has this morning reported that the 49-year-old remains ‘coveted’ by the English outfit.
However, the report adds that Paris Saint-Germain – who are paying him £467,000 per month in France – are unlikely to let the South American leave.
Mistake
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that things have nosedived at Tottenham since Pochettino left.
Yes, their form was poor at the time of his sacking but they had been in a Champions League final only five months earlier.

And it goes without saying that most Tottenham fans would absolutely love the former Southampton coach back in North London but given that he’s doing pretty well in the French capital, it’s unlikely.
