Emmanuel Petit has stated that Chelsea players were having ‘arguments’ in the second half after he was ‘close to the bench’ during their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday night at the Emirates.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder added that he was left ‘very shocked’ by Frank Lampard’s side who showed ‘no response’, ‘no pride’, ‘no unity’ or ‘no friendship’ against their London rivals.
That’s six defeats on the bounce for the big-spending West London club, who are sitting 12th in the Premier League table.

At the start of the season, it would have been deemed by many that newly-promoted Bournemouth, on paper, had the weakest squad in the Premier League.
They even suffered a 9-0 defeat away at Anfield, yet fast forward to the present, and after Chelsea spent over £600 million, they are level on points with the South Coast club.
It’s a remarkable state of affairs at Chelsea and Petit was far from impressed, as he told Premier League Productions (02/05/23 at 10:25 pm).
“I was very close to the Chelsea bench,” said Petit. “I have seen some players having arguments between them in the second half, especially.
“I was very shocked in the first half. The attitude of the players. The body language. No response. No pride. No unity. No friendship.
“You can put 20 managers on the bench, it won’t change anything, at all, at the moment. I think they need to clear something in the dressing room first. Then to think about the manager, afterwards.
“There are too many players. It’s a mess. It was embarrassing to watch – I feel sorry for the fans.”

ONE OF THE WORST SEASONS…
Chelsea have had darker days than this, you just have to go back to the 90s for that or when they were relegated years before that.
But, pound for pound, after the money they have spent, this has to be one of the worst.
This is beyond abject, embarrassing, pathetic and disgraceful to the point that it’s now laughable. If any group of players couldn’t wait for the season to end sooner, then it’s this Chelsea team.
