Roy Keane didn’t hold back on Marcus Rashford and claimed that the Newcastle United transfer target recently ‘played like a child’, as he told Sky Sports.
The former midfielder is making reference to the 24-year-old’s performance during Manchester United’s 4-0 thrashing at Liverpool on Tuesday night.
Rashford, who has seemingly expressed that he is looking to leave Old Trafford this summer, started the game but struggled, alongside his teammates, throughout the match as Liverpool ran riot.
There are suggestions that the big-pockets of Newcastle United are seemingly looking at the Old Trafford academy product.
Whilst the team he faced a couple of nights ago, Liverpool, are big fans of the struggling England forward.
Nonetheless, in his own typical way, Keane didn’t hold back in unleashing his anger towards Man United’s recent performance and what Rashford produced at Anfield.
“Rashford played like a child up front,” said Keane. “Okay, there wasn’t great service (against Liverpool).
“But, the one or two bits he got, in the first half when you are thinking ‘you are in on goal’. A poor touch.”

Rashford’s career needs picking up, whether it’s in Man United colours, the black and white of Newcastle, or elsewhere in Europe.
Perhaps the appointment of Erik ten Hag at Manchester United on Thursday will provide him with the confidence and lift he needs.
The Dutchman will officially take charge next season and someone like Rashford is the type of player he would usually love working with.
But talent is one thing, whereas application, form and confidence are another, as Rashford’s is currently out of sight and nowhere to be seen.
