Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly facing competition from Leicester City for Christophe Galtier.
The London Evening Standard reported last month that Galtier is a contender for the Tottenham managerial role, as covered by HITC Sport.
Lille defender Sven Botman himself admitted at the weekend that the 54-year-old manager could leave, even if he guides Lille to the Ligue 1 title ahead of Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain.
Galtier has been at Lille since 2017, and before that he was in charge of Saint-Etienne since 2009.
The Frenchman has taken charge of 512 games in total in his career, and he has won 231 of them.
That is quite a good record, especially when you consider that Saint-Etienne and Lille are not exactly mega-rich clubs like Tottenham and PSG.
Tottenham’s reported interest in Galtier does not come as a surprise, but it seems that the North London club could face competition from Leicester.
France Football (print edition, page 8, May 18, 2021) has reported that Leicester, Nice and Lyon all are looking at him.

Why are Leicester interested in Galtier, you might wonder.
After all, Brendan Rodgers has just guided the Foxes to FA Cup success, and he could also lead the team to a top-four finish in the Premier League table this season.
The most likely reason is that Leicester are worried that they might lose Rodgers… to Tottenham.
90min reported earlier this month that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is so desperate to appoint Rodgers as the manager that he is willing to make him the second-highest paid boss in the Premier League after City’s Pep Guardiola.
