Tottenham Hotspur talent Alfie Devine looks set for a huge future – and he managed to get a little bit of revenge on Liverpool on Saturday.
Tottenham’s first team had a miserable day, losing 3-0 away at Crystal Palace.
Their Under-23’s had a much better day though, as they beat Liverpool 2-1 at Stevenage’s Lamex Stadium.
Devine steals the show
Liverpool wonderkid Kaide Gordon gave the Reds an early lead, leaving Tottenham with a big task.
Wayne Burnett’s side battled away though and brought themselves level with midfielder Devine equalising around the half hour mark.
Tottenham’s official website describes the goal as a ‘wonderful solo goal’.
Devine then won it, clipping the ball past Marcelo Pitaluga from a Jack Clarke pass.
Liverpool had no response in the final 10 minutes, giving Tottenham the 2-1 win with Devine grabbing the headlines.

Tottenham talent Devine gets revenge on Liverpool
Devine may have joined Tottenham from Wigan Athletic last year, but he also has history with Liverpool.
The 17-year-old was born in Warrington and started his career with Liverpool.
Liverpool released Devine at the age of just 11, and he then thrived at Wigan.
Now one of Tottenham’s hottest prospects, Devine looks to be on his way to stardom in North London.
Liverpool may regret letting Devine go as a kid, and he showed the Reds what they’re missing on Saturday.
