Newcastle United will face Aston Villa in the Championship this weekend.
The Newcastle United players were training on Friday ahead of this weekend’s game against Aston Villa.
Newcastle will take on Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Championship on Saturday evening.
The Magpies will head into the match against the Villans on the back of 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at St. James’ Park in the third round of the EFL Cup.
The Newcastle players were training hard on Friday, and among the players who attended the session was Cheick Tiote.
Tiote was linked with a move away from Newcastle in the summer transfer window, with Mynet Spor crediting Turkish giants Galatasaray with interest in the midfielder (click here to read more).
The 30-year-old has yet to make an appearance in the Championship for the Magpies this season.
Rafael Benitez’s side are doing well without Tiote, and it remains to be seen if the midfielder can find his way back into his manager’s plan.
On Friday, though, the Ivory Coast international was training hard with his Newcastle teammates, as the photos below show.
Tiote looked determined and focused, and his attitude was quite encouraging.
