Wolves hopes of signing Anderson Talisca are over, with the attacker set to seal his move to Turkish side Besiktas.

The forward was pictured arriving in Turkey last night, posing with a Besiktas scarf as he met some of his new fans.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo reported earlier this month that Wolves were set to seal a deal for the 23-year-old, who was only waiting on a work permit, while the birth of his child added to the delay.

O Jogo’s report yesterday stated that while the FA accepted Wolves’ request to register Talisca, he did not receive a work permit from the Government, despite previous suggestions otherwise.

This led to Talisca looking for an alternative, having been told he could leave Benfica, and was not simply a case of the attacker choosing Besiktas over the Championship side.

Talisca is moving on loan to Besiktas, with a 25 million Euros option to buy.

Wolves yesterday completed a deal to sign his Benfica teammate Ola John on loan, as first revealed by HITC Sport last week.
