HITC Sport understands that Benfica have agreed to move
Reading’s Ola John and Rotherham’s Greg Halford in action
Championship Wolverhampton Wanderers are ready to move for Dutch international Ola John, in another deal with Portuguese giants Benfica, HITC Sport understands.
The 24-year-old forward spent last season in the Championship with Reading, featuring in over 20 games and he was in talks with French side Toulouse about a move to Ligue 1.
But now it appears he is set to follow fellow Benfica players Helder Costa and Joao Teixeira in moving to Molineux on loan.
Benfica have a close relationship with Wolves’ new Chinese owners and they are utilising that friendship by setting up a number of deals.
Luisao
If talks go well, then John could be signed by this weekend and that may well not be the only Benfica deal this week with talks over legendary centre-half Luisao continuing.
Luisao has spent 13-years at the Estadio da Luz but despite being 35, is set to be handed a three-year deal at Molinuex.
