Speculation about Ilaix Moriba joining Tottenham Hotspur seems to be gathering a bit of pace.
Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for the Barcelona youngster over the past couple of weeks.
And it was reported by Sport today that the 18-year-old has told his agents that he’d be willing to sign for the Premier League club.
The Lilywhites have consented to pay close to £13 million for the midfielder – whose contract at Camp Nou expires next summer – and this is one that could happen over the next three days, before the window shuts.
And it looks like Moriba himself is training away from his teammates in Catalonia.
Earlier today the youngster uploaded a photo doing some solo gym work, pushing a number of weights along with some classically-cryptic emojis – such as the zip mouth one, and the ‘shush’ one.
Inexperienced
The Guinea-born starlet only has 18 senior appearances for Barcelona under his belt.
Moriba, who turns 19, would be going to Spurs as a player for the future.
Because let’s face it, he wouldn’t play an awful lot if and when he joins under Nuno Espirito Santo soon.
That being said, Fabio Paratici, the North London club’s transfer guru this summer, clearly can see a lot of potential in the player and it’ll be fascinating to see if a deal can be done.
Paratici has already snapped up another teenager over the past 24 hours after it was announced on Friday that Spurs had signed Pape Matar Sarr.
