There’s still a lot of Arsenal fans who want to see Yves Bissouma come to North London this summer.
This has been the talk for much of 2021 but it’s fair to say in recent months, the speculation has fizzled out a little.
But Bissouma is a player who Arsenal supporters just can’t forget about – and particularly now after a photo of him and Ben White is doing the rounds on Twitter.
The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder posted a screenshot of a video chat that he had with the North Londoners’ new £50 million defender, whom they signed from the Seagulls last week.
Could it still happen?
Well, it’s absolutely possible, yes.
Thomas Partey is set to miss Arsenal’s start to the Premier League season due to ankle ligament damage.
And let’s be honest, nobody at the Emirates Stadium club will be confident that it’ll be the Ghana international’s last injury of the campaign.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder endured a stop-start first year in England last year.
And despite Edu already signing Albert Sambi Lokonga, and Granit Xhaka set to stay at the club, another midfield signing really wouldn’t go amiss due to Partey’s unreliability in regards to fitness.
Whether that includes a £30 million move [The Times] for Bissouma, though, remains to be seen.
